You can get dedicated server hosting from any dedicated host in the world. That does not mean that every dedicated web hosting provider is going to treat you fairly, offer incredible tech support, or put you on a reliable dedicated server.
So what makes a reliable dedicated host? There are three key factors you’ll want to consider in your search.
* Technical Support. Don’t just take their word for it – give them a call! Do they answer the phone? Are they available 24/7? Do they offer Managed Hosting solutions? Can you add additional features later on without a hassle? Are they friendly? If the answer to any of these questions is “no”, they are not a reliable dedicated host.
* Company History. Again, don’t take their word for it – do some research. If their “about us” page lists only 2 years of service, look elsewhere. If they do not have a customer history of at least 7 years, they are not a reliable dedicated host, and you should really be wary.
* Price. Yeah, this is a big consideration for any dedicated server host. What is the startup fee? Is there a monthly rate? Do they offer discounts for a longer billing cycle? Do they offer dedicated hosting coupons? Are they able to negotiate with you for an affordable dedicated hosting rate? If they’re not willing to assist you in bringing down the price, they are not a reliable dedicated host. Dedicated hosting coupons are incredibly important, so if they don’t offer any, look elsewhere.
